For many years, the HighTec GNU-based compiler have been in successful operation by all the leading companies on the automotive sector and in various industrial fields. As a result of close cooperation with several automotive manufacturers and semiconductor vendors, numerous optimisations and special features for supporting their architecture have been integrated in the compiler and the debugger. The basic elements of the PXROS Development Platform are the porting of the GNU-based compiler, the integrated development environment Eclipse, and the real-time operating system PXROS-HR.
