Software
The board's Flash, the so-called basic system, includes a firmware with the following functionalities:
- real-time operating system PXROS-HR,
- PXROS-HR manages hardware based memory protection (MPU)
- debug monitor,
- a motor control unit,
- predefined tasks for TCP/IP communication,
- read and write to SD cards,
- CAN communication,
- control of port pins, and
- frequency measuring.
An Application Programming Interface (API) allows the user to design his own software components, and load and debug multiple tasks without stopping the basic system. This approach allows a simple startup and evaluation of the application without having to understand every detail of the high-performance TriCore architecture. The EasyRun TC1796 package contains an evaluation version of TriCore PXROS-HR Development Platform, the PLS debugger, and the IDE Eclipse and Code::Blocks. This software bundle including the API is also shipped with the phyCORE TC1796 Drive Demokit.
This hardware is also available as an evaluation board for sensorless control of BLDC motors using the method VirtuHall. |
